My first event planned

I decided to get out of my comfort zone a bit. That is what it is going to take for me to be successful and really make a go of this. I booked my first pop-up/vendor event. There were several right about the same time and it took me a couple of days to decide which one to do. A lucky thing for me is that there are not many Chloe + Isabel merchandisers in my area so I do not really have to worry about someone with the same company taking the spot. I went with a Christmas in July event on July 15 at the Plaster Center on PSU campus. I checked and there are 40 vendors signed up at this time so it should be a well attended event. Hopefully, I do well.

Support

I have only been with Chloe+Isabel for a short time, but I am already impressed with what I am seeing. Since I started, I have been equipped with the training and resources to make my business successful. Though I have not completed all of the training yet, I have learned a lot so far. Something that is remarkable about Chloe+Isabel is the support that is given to the women entrepreneurs. The company talks about empowering women, and that is exactly what they do. Working in a male dominated field for the past twenty years in which women are often marginalized, I know how important this is, and how important it is for women to support other women.

I considered getting a part-time job to supplement my full-time job and to give me something to do. After some thought, I asked myself why I would want two jobs in which I worked for someone else and had to answer to someone else? I didn't! I was looking online and came across Chloe+Isabel. I was instantly drawn to the culture of empowering women entrepreneurs...the fact that the jewelry is high-quality did not hurt either. That is wanted I wanted to be: an entrepreneur. Of course, I cannot quit my full-time job and have no immediate plans to, but this opportunity gives me the ability to be my own boss of my own company (at least until I have to go to my other ...
